ARTERY OF FIRE by Thomas N. Scortia

ARTERY OF FIRE

By

Pub Date: Dec. 1st, 1972
Publisher: Doubleday

The Artery is designed to squirt a beam of vaporized uranium from ore-rich Pluto to power-starved Earth but the first transmission goes awry (could it be sabotage?), threatening untold destruction unless the beam can be deflected. What's worse ""reality, the metauniverse itself"" is also in danger from the stress the Artery puts on the space-time continuum. Enough hardware and software to satiate the fans who like their sci fi both ways and to leave everyone else wondering just what a tachyon is anyway.
