KIRKUS REVIEW

Frontier times and troubles as Rod Buckley takes on the fight of aging Senator Pennel when he attempts to get a reservation for the Modoc Indians and to release some land for the restive, incoming settlers. When bloodshed breaks, the Senator is wounded, the Army called in, and Rod succeeds in protecting the Indians from his and their enemies. Some standard situations but the action here is lean, lithe, and level.
