A catalogue of things important -- and not so important --about the organization of the army, navy, marines, coast guard and air corps. How to go about trying to get into the services, what to expect, how to prepare for advancement, covering every job from private or gob to general or admiral with their attendant functions and salaries. All the places in the country where further information can be secured about the different branches are listed; the various camps with their respective types of training are detailed. This is purely a reference book which identifies the duties and positions in each service. There is a certain amount of erroneous material due to changes which are in constant process; i.e. the Specialist Corps, which is no more, is describwith fervor. But here is ample information for any prospective enlistee prior to actual induction.
