BARE BONES: Conversations in Terror with Stephen King

With no new King novels on the horizon, his many fans will have to settle for this collection of interviews and miscellanea harvested from sources as diverse as Playboy, English Journal, and the Billerica, Mass., Public Library (site of a King talk). They won't be disappointed. King's as engaging a conversationalist as he is a storyteller, and here ranges over horror books and films (his own and others'), rock-and-roll, Maine life, and sundry other subjects (including enough toss-away ideas for novels and short stories to launch a dozen writing careers) with his playful, opinionated, sometimes childish but always engrossing intelligence.
