This is an excellent young manners book, with the situations that arise in children's lives as springboards for behaviour guides. What youngster does not balk at introductions? Here we have every kind of introduction handled clearly, specifically. Temperamental attitudes come in for careful suggestion as fundamental to good manners as well as good form. Shyness, curiosity (of the prying kind), sportsmanship, making mistakes, shifting blame, indulging in moods- all this and more has its place.
