MONEY, MONEY, MONEY: How to Get and Keep It

Pub Date: Sept. 20th, 1978
Publisher: Putnam

More sensibly and with a livelier style than most juvenile writers on money, Morgan explains the ups and downs of interest rates, how mortgages work, the differences between stocks and bonds, how companies maneuver profit figures, and why you have to invest your savings to keep up with inflation. He slips easily back and forth between gardener Sally's $500 mortgage and ""your"" $200 negotiation with friend Sam, on the one hand, and the bigger-time transactions banks engage in on the other; the two hypothetical teenagers are followed throughout, their businesses building as the concepts do--although Sam, alas, must go unexpectedly bankrupt at the end to illustrate that last procedure. No blue-chip special, but readable and credit worthy.
