KIRKUS REVIEW

The text of this is a cut above picture story book age, but the format places it in that age group. Good looking book, stiff board covers, color throughout. It is the sort of story that grows out of little girls' makebelieve being grown up -- and Miss Leila Brooks, the heroine, has a tea party for a red squirrel and gives him the nuts she had saved for him when the tree with his home was cut down. Cute idea -- not wholly successful, but well above average. Kurt Wiese pictures!
