KIRKUS REVIEW

As Jungle Girl sinks slowly, a horn-rimmed Jungle Boy lectures methodically--complete with diagrams and pointer--about quicksand, in this entertaining and painless public service announcement. It's a clever set-up: the suspense of Jungle Girl's predicament, the humor of Jungle Boy's dead-pan presentation, and clear, numbered tips on how to get out of quicksand and live to make your own (using a hose and a bucket of sand). And with a ""Cheetah""-ish chimp preparing high tea with low humor on every double-page spread, there should be enough to pull readers in.
