The annals of a female foreign correspondent and the beds she occupies in occupied Germany, this introduces Carla MacMurphy- one of the sharpest sex jobs since Amber-offers the same salient values. In her coverage of Germany, which is chiefly prone, Carla gets her stories, her men, and a car,- deliberates over taking the veil of domesticity with Charles Poignon, a serious and luminously sentimental Frenchman, and then shacks up with Dave Hawks, a New York newspaperman. Dave, who outplays her most of the time, finally queers her affair with Charles, turns over her stolen car to the authorities, and walks out on her- while Carla continues- imperturably- on another front.... The itinerary of a tramp, this is buxom, brazen and serves one purpose only. Its limitations on market are patently evident.
