The jungle composed of rain forst, lowlands, waters, plains, highlands and skies, houses a great variety of strange and familiar animals. Tony Palazzo's multi-colored drawings of many of these creatures are among the most captivating around. A few lines of text describe the most essential characteristics of each and guide the reader toward the picture itself which accomplishes more than the best chosen words. The Lions, giraffes and elephants will remind viewers of trips to the zoo, but the aardvarks, condors and mandrills will undoubtedly be brand new. The drawings are close facsimiles to the real McCoys, but the colors make no attempt at realism.
