THE ADVENTURES OF MOLE AND TROLL

Synthetic imitations (intended or not) of Lobel's Frog and Toad, Mole and Troll are two hairy and unlovable slobs whose four adventures center on competitive tunnel-digging, tying Mole's shoelaces, fighting at the beach over pinches that are really the work of a giggling crab, and making a dress for Troll's grandmother that only fits the model, Mole. None of this is below par for easy-reader humor, but Mole and Troll's amphibian prototypes are such peerless friends that this relationship seems all the shallower for the resemblance.
