QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON DEATH AND DYING

A successor to the excellent On Death and Dying particularly directed to physicians, therapists, hospital staffs, workshops, as well as the families involved -- stating when to tell the terminally ill (as soon as the diagnosis is reached) and who should tell them (the doctor or minister) and where the dying can best be cared for (at home) on to special problems -- the potential suicide, the senile, etc. All very simply, in question and answer form. Dr. Kubler-Ross does not believe in euthanasia (as mercy killing) but also does not believe in perpetuating life in the form of, say, the late Truman's (a nebulous distinction, isn't it?) but for many, many people, this will rightfully ease the way toward that last enlightenment with sympathetic realism.
