Fortunately, boys are not dependent on this book alone for the information contained herein, for though there's lots of it built into ""listen my children and you shall hear"" style, it is presented- so patronizingly that it would utterly discourage any aspiring young fisherman. The personal anecdotes lack the flavor usually to be found in reminiscences of fishing fraternity. And the useful how-to-do-it data is buried in the padded pages. It's there-data on equipment, technique, and so forth. But it just isn't interestingly presented.
