KIRKUS REVIEW

Another story in the good old tradition of the current run of English industrialism. The story of the rise and fall of Matthew Burkle, against an English countryside where Petworth's Tannery is located. An involved character, well presented, might be of interest to men readers, particularly in view of present controversy over war profiteering, but can't see much market for it.
