KIRKUS REVIEW

How Films Are Made from the producer's office to their eventual projection on the screen. Each chapter deals with a specific phase, defines the particular job and how it is carried through, and is by a well known person in that field (mostly of M. G. M.'s staff). Gives a good all around picture, since it includes production, direction, scenario writing, art, clothes, acting, casting, make-up, photography, color, sound, music, cutting, distribution, etc., and is very readable. Not highly specialized or extremely detailed, but sufficient inside dope for the layman as well as information for those especially interested.
