FOR DAUGHTERS AND MOTHERS by Valeria Hopkins Parker

FOR DAUGHTERS AND MOTHERS

By

Publisher: Bobbs-Merrill

There is little new in this echo of all the other books in the field, but mothers who want to shelter their daughters behind the walls of traditional conservatism will find it to their liking. Not that I make plea for too modern, streamlined a viewpoint, but I do wish someone would be realistic about the change in modern life. Sound common sense is interspersed with a few case histories, as the author endeavors to show how girls can have good times without going to extremes, how to develop potentialities for marriage and motherhood, how to recognize love when it comes, how to approach the problem of a career.
