KIRKUS REVIEW

Architect and ex-urbanite Philip Sargent runs into local (and feminine) gossip and rumors when his wife Louise suicides and the reason for her action absorbs his neighbors and friends. Louise's sister is in an all out battle with newcomer, non-comformist, Mrs. Winters; Sargent is not only protecting Mrs. Winters but outfacing murder charges; and catty claws are cut by the one who knows the truth. Pat.
