Smooth, sometimes sexy, surface to a fast tale of double murder, the inexplicable marriage of lovely Paula to a mental and physical cripple, a matter of some blackmail money, and Paula's refusal to confide in Bry, newspaperman who loves her. Nice sartorial effects -- good speed -- but fairly shaky mystery angles.
