KIRKUS REVIEW

Smooth surface -- not too much underneath. Women trouble --definitely plural, for Pete Rector and his roommate Guy, men-about-Washington, when they find an unknown girl dead in Guy's bed. She is none of theirs -- but the situation is complicated further by Pete's fiances, the two girls down the hall, a model from New York, another murder and two attempts. Impotence, insanity, blackmail and jealousy used as precipitents.
