FIRST DAYS OF THE WORLD

In simple words this book attempts to answer the questions that most thinking children at some point ask: how did the world begin? what were the first creatures like? what did this world look like long ago? Though the text is generally clear and concise, there are sections here, particularly those dealing with the beginning of the universe, which might be puzzling to a young reader. On the whole, however, this natural history with its vividly colored full page illustrations by Leonard Weisgard, provides a valuable introduction to the young reader and will also be looked to gratefully by the bewildered parent.
