A simple picture book for very young children -- too young, that is, to demand action development. The very busy man does a great many important things in one day -- feeding the birds, waving at the passenger train, dipping candied apples; in fact he has a big tot's dream of a golden day. The light crayon coloring does not seem vivid enough for the age level of the text, but the drawings by the author are lively and cosy.
