THE MOTIVE

With not quite the excellence of last year's The Innocent, this is again grounded in psychopathic disturbances as Joe Anton, a Hollywood scenarist, is sent to uncover the motivation behind the murder of Shirley Kolp, a man crazy number. In the trail which involves avin More, a great lover on the screen but a failure in the bed, Leo Ullman, a victim of anti-semitism and Mary Day who had brought him back to normaloy, Joe finally finds the unknowns in all these lives which in their exposure provoked death... Some touchy, sophisticated rather than sho material here- cleverly handled.
