A noted authority- research dir of the Foreign Policy Association -- Mrs. Dean has succeeded in presenting the case, passionately, clearly, succinctly; she has marshalled facts of historical backgrounds economic, political and social factors; she has made her readers see the situation from both angles- Washington and Moscow; she has presented not only the picture as it was is-but indicated the trends, interpreted them without scareheads, so that while the success of the situation is not minimized, exaggerated claims are appraised, and of clarified.
