KIRKUS REVIEW

Nothing much apart from an occasional kidnapping. The victim in this case is eleven-year-old Chris Collinge who's snatched--lemonade stand and all--by a trio of punks who've been touring along in a camper--on the heist-away plan--all the way from South Bend. The group's bossy main man, Cutter, is ""weird generally."" His sidekicks include Priscilla, a pill freak, and Joe, forever humiliated and the best of the lot. Inspired by his idol Charles Manson, Cutter hopes to get a ""big hot jolt"" out of abducting the son of famous TV and movie star Brandon Collinge and making Daddy squirm. Few jolts--in fact it's all pretty dopey from kidnap to catnap.
