KIRKUS REVIEW

Innovation in mystery field, as this catch the killer tale is laid in 12th century Normandy, with Richard the Lion Hearted the object of a murderous plot, but seeing in his turn the killer killed by a poison arrow. Richard turns medieval Sherlock Holmes, and with a primitive third degree not only traps the criminal, but untangles all knots complicating the problem. Original -- makes the grade.
