KIRKUS REVIEW

Skip the first couple of pages of moonglow prose (""It is going to be a year of discovery and exciting adventure"") and get going and you'll find there's perhaps more beauty than health although they're all for the latter--from special foods sea salt and carob powder to exercise to that essential electric blender which can be used to benefit every cell in your body. More dubious however is the full endorsement of calcium lactate (good for your nails; makes you deep) which also promotes kidney stones, or the cosmetic surgery and Maxwell Maltz (Vidal had it). The book is best on all its head-to-toenail advice on keeping yourself looking natural and feeling well--exercise and yoga and an austere diet. In fact all of it takes time and strength of character but then il faut souffrir pour etre belle.
