If names like Georgie Poggi and Jim Danda don't get yours up, and you overlook the philately written style which is par for this genre, you'll find this perfectly satisfactory since it has a dual interest--mystery cum stamp collecting. Anyway, Eddie, Georgie Poggi's friend, happens on ""The Black Stamp"" which is worth $20,000 via a lot he buys in Mr. Crooks' (there we go again) general store. Naturally its loss (theft) has not gone unnoticed and it leads to a murder and a very active pursuit. You may be able to see through the perforations but youngsters will enjoy the mounting (including an auction) and the pace.
