KIRKUS REVIEW

A right tidy collection of Holmesiana, with innumerable references for those initiated into many aspects of the Master Sleuth. Various self-constituted irregulars discuss Sherlock and his Watson from all angles. Chris Morley, Elmer Davis, Vincent Starrett and others have a grand time deciding whether Holmes was an American, what was the state of his finances, Dr. Watson's secret life, the ""care and feeding of Sherlock Holmes"", Holmes and music, Holmes in retirement, bibliomanical adventures, even a Sherlock Holmes crossword puzzle. Finally, a Sherlock Holmes story which Doyle published in a student journal and never used in a collection. Good but special.
