THE AMATEUR NATURALIST'S HANDBOOK

For the rank beginner this will provide inducement to go further, for the content is arranged in three sections, each covering the same broad topics, but in order of progressive difficulty. Interesting, and scientifically sound, provocative and stimulating, material on plants, animals, weather, minerals, etc. A bit over-written, and the section dealing with biology demands basic knowledge of the subject, this nevertheless is a fat, factual omnibus.
