A HANDBOOK FOR NURSES' AIDES

By

Publisher: Devin Adair

Excellent, not only for those who have taken the course and are contributing their time as nurses' aides, but for mothers and home nurses, anyone who has to face the possibility of extended care of the sick. This handbook is up to date enough even to give some salient facts concerning the Kenny treatment for infantile paralysis, the work of the blood banks, etc. In the main, however, it deals with the hows and whys of hospital procedure, the scope of the work, the step by step processes of caring for patients from arrival to home delivery, illustrated with sketches. There are special sections on communicable diseases, mothers and children, public health work, care of patients in the home, war helpers, etc. Blank pages for special notes, bibliography and index, are added to make this a sound reference handbook. Suggest as an asset in perfecting the details of operation.
