KIRKUS REVIEW

High in the Sierras, Ann, the teen age guide of a dude expedition and daughter of a ranch owner, finds romance and vindicates her cowboy sweetheart from the alleged guilt which threatens to ruin his life. When Ann Proves that Buck, a horse which it is believed Ken, her beau, has stolen, is actually a part of their camping group, she is able to determine the actual thief. But her end is not accomplished without much harrowing adventure--a hazardous crossing of a mountain path, a fight between Buck and another horse--and much anxiety. A good adventure story which combines mystery, romance, horse lore and evocative descriptions of the Sierras.
