THE MISSING $10,000 BILL

Tinkertown in Northern Connecticut is the exile into which fifteen-year-old Jill and her brother are sent when their mother is forced to take an extended trip. Here, in the home of her allegedly wealthy great-aunt, the girl discovers that the legend of the Tinker riches is based on pride and fantasy. An antique doll is the instrument which revives a substantial part of the Tinker fortune, provides Jill with the home she has always wanted, and serves as a symbol of her hard-won maturity. More fancy than conviction goes into this slight but pleasant girl's mystery.
