LET'S GO HOME

A for effort here in a story of a home badly broken by personality deficiencies. The Cranford orphans, 16 year old Betty, 11 year old David and 4 year old Midge, run away to their inheritance, an uncle's estate near Denver, after their mother, left stranded by a laggardly husband, has died. Their aunt Zippy follows them. In trying to send them to relatives who will care for them properly, Betty gets Aunt Zippy to stay in the place that had once been her own home and with the help of her old friend Mr. Dahlia, they do build a new life. There is Zeke whose parents are separated, who becomes Betty's boy friend. There are financial near-disasters. Then Aunt Zippy who had once rejected Mr. Dahlia, marries him, Zeke's parents get together and the happy ending, though a little contrived, comes mostly from honest effort.
