KIRKUS REVIEW

Included here are five new favorites in this series of fairy tales from all over the world which have been chosen and retold so well by the author. As in the other collections, the stories are very well balanced and, in each, the cadence of the narration is varied to match the tone of the fairy tale. There is the folksy, earthy ""Kuratko the Terrible""; the tongue-in-cheek humor of ""The Shepherd's Nosegay""; while the other stories have a romantic, delicate character.
