The lines ""Pony, pony, Macaroni: Ride! Ride! Ride!"" ""Baby, baby rides in a stroller up and down the town"" indicate the quality and kind of prose which runs on under the author's full color illustrations. Various forms of transportation from stroller to helicopter are pictured in a flat, heavy style. The drawings of animals, although lacking in action, are better than the portrayals of children. The oversized volume--really for bookstores rather than libraries -- is similar in layout and approach to the author's previous book, Play, (1963, p. 551, J-183).
