THE HABITS OF RABBITS

By

Publisher: Scribner

A beguiling nonsense tale in verse with more than a bit of Dr. Seuss in its quality. It is just as funny as The Duchess Bakes a Cake -- and has a cautionary angle that comes closer to the small fry who want animal pets of their own. For the very youngest of the Duke and Duchess' thirteen daughters was being difficult about her choice. No dragon nor unicorn for her; she must have a couple of rabbits, which only the king could supply. This he did- with a warning. And his warning came all too true. How they solved it- for a moment only- makes bilarious reading. In picture and verse (which limps a bit at times- but what matter?) Miss Kahl has done it again. Side sewn.
