JERRY THE GIRAFFE

The success of Match the Pony Grow may stimulate an initial interest in this rather blend little picture book about a giraffe from the African plains. It has little or no dramatic interest, but the very small child will take pleasure in a sense of participating in the animal's growth. Jerry begins as two simple lines and through twenty deft line drawings, grown into an engaging giraffe with freckles, spots and paintbrush tall. The tall format is somewhatawkward in so thin a book. Brown on yellow color job. Suggest use as a drawing book. Merchandise value almost solely.
