DEER, HARE AND OTTER HUNTING

The hunting instinct is irrepressible in the English and rightly so. Here is a whole volume devoted to sports we might well enjoy if only we had the initiative to introduce them. All requires plenty of good healthy exercise and we do so love to sit to take our air. Deer and stag hunts are of course more pretentious and picturesque. The descriptions here are delightful; hare and otter are quite within our range and there is nothing more exciting than an afternoon in crisp autumn weather spent beagling. Here you find all the terms explained, the procedure outlined, training and kenneling minutely described and couched in dozens of engaging stories. Like all the volumes in the Lonsdale Lonsdale Library grand reading for the sportsman, and well worth owning. Start your sportsmen collecting the set. It goes back 22 volumes and seems certain to go on forever so it is good business.
