AND MR. WYKE BOND

A rather different vein for W. B. Maxwell, under the aegis of a new publisher....A character study in fiction form, the story of a little man who makes social acquaintances a life profession, who leads a Jokyll and Hyde life, -- on the one side, rounding out the lists of guests at every sort of party in the ranks of the blue bloods, on the other side, supporting a simple, commonplace home for a wife of doubtful virtue and two step children. A slim plot, but well done.
