DRAMATIS PERSONAE: 1896-1902

Colorful bits from a full life -- semi-autobiographical. The first half deals definitely with Yeats' personal relations with famous people of his day -- Lady Gregory, Synge, Moore, Martyn. The last half is made up of bits of data, thoughts, events -- the birth of the Irish National Theatre, politics, Gaelic tongue and folk lore, study of the supernatural. The volume includes reprints of three short books, published in Dublin, under the titles of Estrangement, The Death of Sygne, and The Bounty of Sweden. A spontaneous, simple, friendly book, which makes Yeats himself seem a personal acquaintance.
