KIRKUS REVIEW

Basic Christian Beliefs is a statement of Christian tenets of faith as opposed to agnosticism or, as stated in the preface, as opposed to a ""vague religiosity."" It is simply stated and ought to be of great value for earnest enquirers after Christian teaching. It would help them to articulate the faith they already have. Few converts are made by argument, however lucid and skilful, but it helps to have available such a book as this to give to those whose interest and curiosity is already aroused. Professor Easton of Park College, Parkville, Missouri has helped make it clear what Christianity stands for. To many such this volume is to be recommended without hesitation.
