QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK ABOUT RELIGION

The great English Methodist preacher, W. E. Sangster, has given his life to making the Christian gospel understood by the ""working man"", without dilution or over-simplification. Here he has collected a hundred questions which are asked most frequently, and which every concerned person will ask at one time or another. He has arranged them in a natural sequence, grouped in proper manner, -- Religion, Jesus Christ, the Bible, Prayer, Providence, the Church, Miseellaneous (such as ""Isn't it best to have children form their own ideas about religion when they grow up?""), and ""What would Christ do?""- (for my work, my home, my town, my country, the world). None of these replies is long, nor are they doctrinaire in their brevity (about 30 lines each ): they are both provocative and satisfying, and the inquiring unbelievers, as well as the often uncertain ones who are committed to the Christian religion without the words to speak of what they believe, will find this book a treasure. Teachers will find it indispensable.
