SANGSTER'S SPECIAL DAY SERMONS by W. E. Sangster

SANGSTER'S SPECIAL DAY SERMONS

By

Pub Date: April 9th, 1962
Publisher: Abingdon Press

For many years W. E. Sangster was one of England's most outstanding and effective preachers. Many volumes of his sermons have been published, and are constantly and enthusiastically read. This latest (and last?) volume of special sermons adds lustre to an already bright reputation. His direct and forceful style, essentially meant for pulpit utterance, remarkably communicates with the reader across the printed pages. He speaks of Jesus as one speaks of a dear friend he wishes to share with others. The very titles of his sermons reflect this: ""He is Lonelier than the Loneliest"", ""He Dies, We must Die"", ""He Rises Again"", ""He Tarries Among Us"", ""He Mounts in Triumph"", ""He Shares in the Godhead"", etc. This fine book will make excellent Lenten reading.
