THESE THINGS ABIDE

Devotional meditations in dark days is a possible sub-title to this book written by a man who in his thirty-nine years has lived nearly two thirds of them in war time or under war clouds. He has been a soldier in France and in the army of occupation and he knows the horror of war and the hatred of the subsequent terms of peace. This book is powerful because of its calm sanity, impressive because it holds out the message of hope. An excellent book for youth organizations and those in touch with youth, for students or for clergymen who would understand the point of view of British Christians.
