The year 2371 brings the Cruiser C-57-D to the planet Altair to search for the members of an earlier mission, all destroyed save for the saturnine scientist Moroius, and his lovely daughter Altaira. Morbius is a hostile host; his laboratory holds threatening secrets and one man is destroyed, and then another in an attempt to learn his powers and his plans- before the return to terra firmer.... A futurama- not too far out of perspective for present day entertainment.
