KIRKUS REVIEW

This should have a more definitive title, for the content is unusual. Not a story of transportation, but a story of the various animals used for transport the world around:- elephants, camels, llama, yak, water-buffalo, oxen, huskies, reindeer, and human beings -- in addition to the more familiar horses, mules and donkeys. Through this medium, the book serves as another slant on native life everywhere.
