ON THE FARM

These are disappointing. There is an excellent factual text about the functional side of animal life on the farm; the pictures are superb, and perfectly reproduced. BUT -- and this we consider a serious hurdle. The sizing seems all out of scale. The figures of the farm creatures are made so large that they impress one as if murals were squeezed into book page size -- they hit one in the face, give a distorted sense of perspective. For my choice, I'll take The Little French Farm.
