If the Little Theatre movement had the facilities today to put on the complicated scenery necessitated by this playlet, there would be an audience for it, in all probability. But as a play read -- not seen -- it seems rather silly, despite occasional touches of playfulness and invention. The text concerns itself with ultimate of all wars between Man and the Machines. The Machines are ruling the earth and air and man, who is driven to cover underground, existing as a homogrub. One brilliant member of the species decides that the machines must be instilled with doubt and disbelief in themselves, and with this achieved, the play comes to a happy conclusion.
