KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a beguiling book, for anyone who likes small babies, for, praises be, it is a darling baby. (So often small baby pictures are not attractive.) But aside from the sentimental and aesthetic appeal, the book is of sound and practical value, for it is an instruction manual in photographs for the young mother, to be produced at the moment when the trained nurse departs, leaving the inexperienced mother sure that she is going to kill her child in sheer ignorance. Bathing, dressing, feeding, sleeping -- step by step, with introductory text giving basic equipment, and running commentary.
