KIRKUS REVIEW

One of the cleverest mystery stories of the season, with lots of chuckles thrown in. Modern English story with Latin props and costumes. Star reporter of the Evening Tiber investigates the murder of the actor, and Mark Anthony buys out the paper. The plot to murder Caesar is discovered and then -- after the murder -- the enterprising journalist finds it was all a hoax. Highly entertaining and original.
